Propecia Results
How Long Will I Have to Wait to See Propecia Results?
While everyone will react to Propecia in their individual way - as with any medication, here are some basic guidelines of what you can expect:
- Day 1: Propecia begins working to lower DHT levels.
- Month 3: You may notice that Propecia is starting to slow down hair loss.
- Month 6: You may see evidence of less hair loss. That’s a success. Thanks to Propecia, you may actually begin to see some regrowth of hair.
- Month 9: If Propecia is working for you, at this point you should be maintaining the hair you have. You may even grow back some of the hair you’ve lost.
- Year 1: By now you’ll know if Propecia is working for you. If it’s not, further treatment is not likely to help.
If you stop taking Propecia, you will gradually lose the hair you have gained within 12 months of stopping Propecia treatment.
Will Propecia Give Women the Same Results?
No - Propecia is not effective in the treatment of hair loss due to androgenetic alopecia in postmenopausal women. Propecia should not be taken by women.
